Besides, it's rather comfortable how easily he picks her up, that it's both surprising and relaxing. So she whines in response.]

He looks down into her eyes, his own perpetually hidden by the shade his hat and unkempt hair provide. The wolf looks so pretty and serene to him. How could such a lovely animal wander so far into the city? It could be in danger, someone could call the authorities.]

[He reassures the animal by shifting Vietnam in his arms, patting her head, and then starting the short walk to the back entrance of his restaurant, the aptly-named Chawanmushi. He doesn't falter or struggle with the weight of such a large, good dog even once, and soon Vietnam will find herself being set down on some cushions he usually reserves for the cats.
[Chawanmushi is definitely blessed because of Jungo. Thank you universe.
If he thought she looked serene, she has been thinking the same. He's calm, he's relaxing, he's taking good care of her. And it makes her heart swell to hear him say just that.
If she could smile, she would, but instead she opts to nuzzle his hand. She can manage just that!
...Although somehow these cushions are raising her adrenaline somehow. It's okay, she's keeping calm!]
[Jungo is definitely calming. He'd never say it about himself, but he speaks in a low, soothing voice. He returns the nuzzle to his hand, gently petting her head, even going so far as to keep going until all the fur there is smoothed out and neat so that she has a nice, clean head to show all of her dog friends.]
It can be dangerous out there for big dogs. I'm glad I was able to find you.
[He should be making his new best friend food, but he's not so dense as to realize there isn't something different about this somehow. He doesn't know what it is, but something...something is different.]
The cats might not like you at first, but they'll understand.
[And that soothing voice and touch could probably put a girl (dog) to sleep, how relaxed she feels! She can live like this forever...
Wait, why is she thinking such things! But ah, with the adrenalin rush, at least her mind clears just a bit. Other than the fact that there will be cats around.]

[She whines to show him she understands, that she won't be attacking his cats. But also that calms him again, knowing that she was only alert because of instincts telling her there are cats about. She settles again, ready to wait for him to tend to his duties.]
[She has no need to fear. Sure enough, a fat cat wanders downstairs and stares at Vietnam, but he quickly walks over to a chair and plops over, sitting upright for a few seconds until he stretches.
Jungo is still next to her, though, gently petting her. This dog's eyes seem so intelligent...he doesn't want to leave her. Maybe if he picks her up, he can make food with one hand?
...No, he has to leave. Just for a second.]
I'll be right back. Please wait for me. My food is really good, you'll love it.
[He's so fat! And what adorable stretching!!! At this point she wishes she's in human form again just to smother her face into his fur!!
Too bad she can't right now. She doesn't want to smother her doge face when she might look like she's attacking the fatty. Also, she keeps getting distracted by this luxurious petting...she whines a little.]

[Alright, she thinks, as he starts to leave, trying to parse out something that tells him she'll wait for his delicious food. She can eat anything, even as a doggo.]

It takes Jungo tremendous effort to still his petting efforts. His wrists even twitch a little whenever Vietnam's ear or tail might move, because he wants to reach back out and start petting her all over again.
But he finally manages to leave. To his credit, he doesn't try to make a dog food chawanmushi. He comes back with a bowl of chicken, cleaned and prepared so that any dog would be able to eat it. It's high quality stuff, too, but he also cooked it so it's not raw. Raw chicken breath would be gross. Despite it not having much seasoning since it's for a dog, it will somehow still be delicious.]
And oh look...it's moving. Tail, ears, twitching now she's comfortable. Although, it twitches again now that food is here! She could already smell it, once he was cooking it!
It smells so fragrant, she can't help but dig in! So here she goes..
