If not, then we have to see if there's another - if not here, then somewhere else. And if they were easy to find then we'd likely have encountered someone else on our way in.

Wiser men than me have speculated on their habits. And what I've heard comes down to this: if one of these serpents is left unchecked, it becomes a proper hydra given enough time.
