ask him out...on a date...ah, her heart can't take it.
In any case, it should be something that incubus would like to do, no? But she's trying to think what kind of date would be so human that it would be an experience on its own. So she's had to consult her family. Particularly, her sister.
And so here she is now, wearing clothes her sister chose, chic shirt and skirt (skirts will make you cuter!) and her hair braided and parts tied up and looped. She's asked him to meet her in the city, if only to make sure that this is kept 100% secret for his own sake.
And she gave him strict instructions on No Materialising, No Floating, and use public transport. Wow.]
[a date...how long has it been since he went on a proper one of those. too long, really, but she's given him these rules that he has to follow, and naturally, he knows he'll have to change clothes. all these things, but for her he won't protest a bit. besides, he thinks it's quite fun to take public transport now that he has to. so many people to see, the murmurs around him their own sort of ocean - the sounds of life, really, all about him.
so it's that he walks up to where they're supposed to meet - legitimately walking - and sees her first. she's looking lovely, he thinks, and it takes a heroic effort to not simply kiss her when he sees her as a greeting. that's a very quick way to get himself smacked on the back.
instead, he'll greet her with words.]
I hope I haven't kept you waiting, Sen.
[when she turns to see him, he's exchanged his robes for something far more modern. he could have hardly come out today if he hadn't.]
[She wonders how Merlin was during his little expedition to get here. After all, if he followed her instructions exactly, then he would be able to experience it like a regular human would. Even like herself, since countries don't come with magic like does. Well, most of them.
He will be able to live simply as is, just like any Average Joe would before a date. Although, part of her starts to worry, like if he got himself into any trouble along the way.
So imagine her relief when she hears his voice!]
Merlin-- [And turn she does, only for her eyes to widen when she sees him in such normal looking modern clothes. The problem here is that "normal" really means "trendy" and while he did his best to look about as regular as any human would to step outside, he also happened to look like a very handsome human and so don't mind her gawking for a moment. Or some of the murmurs around them about this young man looking like he walked out of some magazine cover.

O-oh, of course not! You're right on time. [Stares...] You, ah...look really nice. [Too much?] J-just like one should! On these kind of outings! [Outings.]
[the problem is that if Merlin hears those whispers, they only feed his ego. he knows his own looks - he knows that he picked out an outfit to suit him. so he just smiles, letting her compliment settle in and taking the way she's flustered as his own personal amusement. it's really just a problem as cute she is.]

[and because he can't help himself, he takes her hand and kisses it, ignoring the reaction from anyone looking. she deserves such a greeting!]
